Bulgarian customs officials have discovered approximately 190 kilograms of cocaine hidden aboard a cargo ship docked at the Black Sea port of Burgas. The vessel, which arrived from Peru, was reportedly transporting copper concentrate when the drugs were uncovered during a routine inspection on Sunday, according to Bulgarian state news agency BTA.

Authorities estimate the street value of the seized cocaine to be around $7 million. The narcotics were concealed in multiple hidden compartments throughout the ship, Bulgarian police confirmed.

An investigation is now underway to identify the intended recipients of the shipment. If convicted of drug trafficking, those involved could face up to 20 years in prison.
