According to the latest Good Country Index published by GoodCountry.org, Finland, Sweden, and Germany have emerged as the world’s leading countries in contributing to science and technology, culture, international peace and security, world order, climate and environment, prosperity and equality, and health and wellbeing.

The ranking evaluates how much each country contributes to the common good of humanity, beyond its borders. Slovakia landed at a modest 32nd position, wedged between Latvia (31st) and Romania (33rd).

Despite its overall placement, Slovakia performed best in the culture category, where it ranked 21st. However, it scored poorly in the area of health and wellbeing, coming in at a low 80th place.

Among former communist countries in Europe, Slovenia (8th), Estonia (9th), and the Czech Republic (12th) were the top performers. Hungary (20th), Bulgaria (22nd), and Poland (23rd) also outpaced Slovakia in the overall standings.

The index is designed to promote a global mindset among nations and encourage policies that benefit not just national interests but also the wider world.
