TORONTO – At least 12 people were injured in a mass shooting at a bar in Toronto late Friday night, according to local police. The attackers, described as three armed men, opened fire indiscriminately inside the crowded venue, leaving six people with gunshot wounds and others injured by shattered glass.

Toronto Police confirmed the incident on social media platform X, stating that all victims were hospitalized and that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

“Twelve injured, six with gunshot wounds… All are stable,” police announced. “Three male suspects are wanted in connection with the shooting.”

Authorities said the assailants were armed with an assault rifle and handguns.

“They entered the bar, pulled out their weapons, and began firing at patrons without warning,” said Police Superintendent Paul MacIntyre, adding that several victims were hurt by flying debris and broken glass.

The attack has sparked shock across Canada’s largest city. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed her concern on X, saying she was “deeply troubled” by the violence and confirmed that all necessary police resources had been deployed to track down the suspects.

Police are actively investigating the motive behind the shooting, and a manhunt for the three suspects is underway.
