Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s former top military commander and current ambassador to the United Kingdom, has confirmed the existence of a military coordination center in Wiesbaden, Germany, established in 2022 to manage and streamline Western military aid to Ukraine.

In a post on Facebook, Zaluzhnyi explained that as Russia’s full-scale invasion began, Ukraine was flooded with an unprecedented volume of weapons and equipment from allied nations. To efficiently manage logistics, repairs, and distribution, Kyiv and its partners launched a centralized coordination hub.

“In April 2022, we created a center to coordinate the supply of military aid to Ukraine,” Zaluzhnyi stated.

The importance of the Wiesbaden-based center grew significantly by mid-2022, especially as Western allies began to question the effectiveness of certain weapons systems on Ukraine’s frontlines. In response, the initiative evolved from a logistical node into a more strategic operational headquarters.

According to Zaluzhnyi, this transformation allowed the center to analyze Ukraine’s planned military operations and align assistance needs with NATO standards. The development reflects the deepening military integration between Ukraine and its Western partners and underscores the strategic role of Wiesbaden in the broader war effort.

The revelation sheds light on the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that has kept Ukraine’s defense capabilities intact under extreme wartime pressure.
