An explosion at a warehouse near the city of Isfahan in central Iran claimed two lives and left one person seriously injured early Tuesday morning. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the blast, according to reports from DPA.

The warehouse belongs to a manufacturer of fireworks and pyrotechnics, who previously admitted to producing items for military use. The facility is located within an industrial zone that also houses several Iranian arms factories, raising additional concerns.

This incident follows a major explosion just days earlier in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, where at least 70 people were killed and over 1,000 injured after a devastating blast at Shahid Rajaee Port. That explosion was powerful enough to impact areas up to 50 kilometers away, causing widespread material damage.

While local authorities attributed the Bandar Abbas explosion to negligence and failure to comply with safety protocols, speculation about possible sabotage continues to circulate among experts and social media users.

Officials have stated that the fire sparked by the Bandar Abbas explosion is now under control, although complete extinguishment could still take 15 to 20 days.

The two deadly incidents have intensified scrutiny on industrial safety and security standards across Iran, particularly in sensitive regions linked to military production.

As investigations continue, Iranian authorities are urging calm while promising a full review of safety measures in high-risk facilities.
