A Friday night out in Toronto turned into chaos and terror after three armed men stormed a bar and opened fire, injuring at least 12 people in one of the city’s most shocking shootings in recent years. Police say the attackers used both assault-style rifles and handguns, firing indiscriminately at patrons.

A Sudden Burst of Violence

The shooting erupted late Friday evening in a busy Toronto neighborhood. Authorities confirmed that six of the 12 victims suffered gunshot wounds, while others were injured by flying glass and debris. Miraculously, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Toronto Police posted on X:

“Twelve injured, six with gunshot wounds… Injuries are non-life-threatening. Three males are suspects in the shooting.”

According to police spokesperson Paul MacIntyre, the attack was both sudden and deliberate.

“They walked into the bar, pulled out their weapons, and began firing indiscriminately at people sitting inside,”
MacIntyre told reporters at the scene.

Massive Manhunt Underway

The suspects fled immediately after the attack and remain at large. Police have deployed significant resources in the area, including tactical units and investigative teams, but have not yet released detailed descriptions of the shooters.

Investigators are still searching for a motive, and the randomness of the attack has heightened public concern about escalating gun violence in Canada’s largest city.

City Leaders Respond

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed alarm over the attack, writing on X that she is “deeply concerned” by the shooting. She added that the police chief assured her “all necessary resources” have been deployed to track down the suspects and ensure public safety.

The shooting comes amid a broader national debate over gun control, policing, and rising violence in urban areas — issues that continue to pressure local and federal leaders.

Conclusion

As investigators comb the scene and hospitals treat the injured, Toronto is left grappling with the aftermath of a brazen attack on innocent civilians. With three armed suspects still on the loose, the city remains on edge as police race to stop another tragedy before it happens.
