In a stunning development that sounds like science fiction, Ukrainian electronic warfare specialists claim they’ve discovered a bizarre but highly effective method to neutralize one of Russia’s most feared weapons: the hypersonic Kinžal missile.

According to Ukraine’s elite Night Watch unit, the Kremlin’s “unstoppable” missile — long promoted by Vladimir Putin as a symbol of Russian technological superiority — may have a critical weakness. The team says it can disrupt the missile’s satellite navigation by blasting a converted Ukrainian song as an electronic signal.

Yes, music.

Night Watch operators reportedly transform the patriotic song “Our Father is Bandera” into a digital transmission that overrides communication between the missile and Russian satellites. Once the guidance system receives corrupted data, the Kinžal begins correcting its trajectory based on false coordinates.

In some cases, the result is catastrophic. The unit claims a secondary signal known as the “Lima system” tricks the missile into believing it is over Lima, Peru — causing it to violently change direction at hypersonic speeds. The maneuver allegedly tears the missile apart mid-air.

The unit says it has destroyed 19 Kinžal missiles in just two weeks.

Russia has reportedly attempted to counter the tactic by increasing the number of satellite receivers inside the missile from eight to as many as 16. Night Watch insists the upgrades don’t work.

If the claims are confirmed, it would mark one of the most embarrassing blows to Russia’s military prestige — turning a highly expensive propaganda weapon into a liability.
