Public confidence in the United States as a reliable partner is eroding in Germany. A new opinion poll reveals that a majority of Germans now view U.S. President Donald Trump as a threat rather than an ally, underscoring a profound shift in transatlantic relations at a time of heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
According to the survey, 61 percent of respondents believe Trump poses a threat to Germany, while only 24 percent consider him an ally. The remainder were undecided. Pressure on Berlin to toughen its stance
